T30 Trap Failure Indicators
The pocket-sized indicator type 30 was designed to detect leaking condensate traps.
The Spiratec indicator is used in combination with:
- A probe chamber and probe, installed immediately upstream of the condensate trap
- A condensate trap with a built-in probe
A remote box (R1 or R12) can be used if the condensate trap or probe chamber is difficult to access.
The Spiratec indicator is powered by a battery and comes with a 1.25m cable for connection to the probe. The status of the probe is indicated by a red and/or green LED. A test circuit detects defects or empty batteries.
Maximum Operating Conditions: Maximum ambient temperature: 40 °C
Minimum ambient temperature: 0 °C
Protection class: IP20
The type 30 indicator is not approved as intrinsically safe for use in environments where there is a risk of explosion.
Battery:
No battery is included. One 9V battery, size PP3 (MN1604), is required.
A complete user manual is included. The cable is connected to the indicator and the sensor to be tested. The button marked with the image of the indicator is used to test the indicator itself and its battery. The button marked with the image of the detection chamber operates the circuit for testing condensate traps. When the green light comes on, it means the condensate trap is in good condition. If the red light is on, it means the condensate trap is allowing steam to pass through.
