BPC32 / BPC32Y Carbon Steel Balanced Pressure Thermostatic Steam
Thermostatic condensate trap based on the pressure balance principle with in-line connections. The BPC32 has a built-in flat strainer, and the BPC32Y has an attached Y-filter. All pressure-containing components are manufactured by TÜV-approved suppliers in accordance with AD-Merkblatt WO/TRD100.
Both types are resistant to water hammer and are available in the following versions:
- Standard version BPC32 and BPC32Y with 'STD' element
- On request, BPC32CV and BPC32YCV with 'STD' element and check valve are also available
Operation:
Standard capsule – marked with 'STD' for operation at an average of 12°C below the saturated steam temperature.
Optional:
The element can also be supplied for strongly subcooled operation 'SUB' at about 24°C below the saturated steam temperature or close to the steam temperature 'NTS' for operation at about 6°C below the saturated steam temperature.
Standards:
This product fully complies with the European Directive on Pressure Equipment (PED).
Certificate:
If mentioned in the order, it can be supplied with a material certificate according to EN 10204 3.1.
Diameters and Connections:
- 1/2", 3/4", and 1" : internal thread BSP or NPT
- 1/2", 3/4", and 1" : socket weld according to BS 3799
- 1/2", 3/4", and 1" : butt weld according to EN 12 627

The BPC32 and BPC32Y condensate traps are suitable for installation in any position, horizontally or vertically. When discharging into a pressurized condensate line, it is advisable to install a check valve. When discharging to the atmosphere, a silencer is generally installed after the condensate trap. For easy maintenance, consider installing valves before and after the condensate trap.
