Inline sight glass type 550 S-K with welding ends and indicator flap
The ACI Flow Sight Glass Type 550S-K with cast housing is a sturdy flow sight glass featuring welded ends.It is supplied with a stainless steel indicator flap to facilitate visualization of the flow, whether the media is completely clear or highly turbid.
The Type 550S-K is available in various steel and stainless steel casting alloys with pressure equipment approval, such as GS-C25 or 1.4408. Upon request, other alloys like Alloy C22 tailored to your specifications are also obtainable.
Sealing for the Type 550S-K is accomplished with proven flat materials from renowned manufacturers such as KlingerSIL C4400 or Frenzelit novaphit MST. Pure or modified PTFE is also an option, along with Garlock Gylon and an extensive range of other sealing materials.
For higher operating temperatures or alkaline media, there is the option to add a mica protective coating to the sight glass. The Type 550S-K allows for the factory installation of cleaning devices like wipers with PTFE, silicone, or NBR blades, or spray nozzles.
Lights with halogen or LED bulbs, including those with ATEX certification, are also available upon request.
