Process Controller SX90
The SX90 process controller, 1/8 DIN, for panel mounting, is suitable for the constant control of systems with pre-programmed set values.
The process controller has universal inputs and outputs that are PID-controlled for precise regulation of industrial processes. The SX90 can be used in conjunction with Spirax-Sarco pneumatic (PN) and electric (EL) servo motors for control valves and electronic or electropneumatic instruments.
SX90 Features:
- Universal Input - RTD, thermocouples, mA, and mV
- Universal Output - VMD (Valve Motor Drive), mA, or V for continuous control (also split-range), relays, or logical switch contacts
- Power Supply - For external transmitter 24Vdc
- Setpoints - The SX 90 can work with a locally set setpoint, a setpoint set remotely, or selected from 4 pre-set setpoints
- Profile Curves - There are 2 independent profile curves for switching between setpoints, up and down
- Cascade Control - For cascade control (master/slave) with a combination of 2 controllers or for remote operation
- Communication Port - For communicating a process value, setpoint, or used as a second analog output port
- Alarms - 4 programmable relay outputs for deviation, band, and process alarms
- Codes - 5-digit codes for easy startup and use of the process controller
- Serial Communication - For connection to a serial RS485 port (5-wire) for up to 64 controllers in a supervisory system
- Auto/Man - The automatic setting can be switched to manual setting via the keyboard
- Logical Inputs - 3 logical inputs provide a variety of selectable functions
- Potentiometer Input - Feedback of the valve position
- Text Messages - Scrolling text messages can be set for alarm notifications of process parameters
- Forced Output - The level of the forced output is defined by a parameter in the controller and activated by a logical input or by subscribing to a parameter - Split range function – can work with 2 control valves (split range). Note: This function is only available if the SX90 is operating with software version 1.05 or higher. The software version is displayed during startup.
