530 Inline Sight Glass With Flanged connections PN16 PN40
The ACI flow sight glass, known as Type 530, features a welded construction with flange connections in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1. The strategically positioned viewing windows allow for both illumination and observation of the medium flowing inside.
Due to its welded construction made of pipes, the ACI Type 530 Flow Sight Glass significantly reduces weight compared to commonly used sight glass fittings with cast housings. This weight reduction is achieved without compromising pressure resistance. Similar to many of our sight glasses, the glass discs are crafted from high-quality borosilicate glass DIN 7080 (MAXOS®) or specially manufactured glass discs if your operating pressure exceeds the working range of the standard configuration.
For applications involving very hot media, our flow sight glass Type 530 is alternatively available with high-temperature quartz or sapphire glass discs. In chemically demanding operating conditions, the glasses can be protected with mica discs or protective discs made of FEP or PCTFE.
As the casing material, we predominantly use high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316 Ti), known for its high acid resistance and suitability for a wide range of applications. In cases where this material is insufficient, our Type 530 sight glass fitting is also available in various other types of steel or stainless steel, such as Hastelloy, duplex material, highly acid-resistant 1.4539, and many other alloys.
Quality flat seals made of tried and tested materials such as KlingerSIL C4400, novaphit MST, pure PTFE, or, for very high temperatures, mica compound materials ensure securely sealed openings.
