330 Rectangular Sight Glass For welding
The ACI tank level indicator type 330 is used to observe the liquid level inside closed containers such as vessels, tanks, silos, etc. The type 330 sight glasses are rectangular longitudinal sight glasses for welding into or onto container walls. They are completed with a sight glass plate made of borosilicate glass according to DIN 7081 or similar, inserted between the gaskets and screwed tight.
Our type 330 tank sight glasses are made of the high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti) that our customers have appreciated for years. Like most of our fittings, the type 330 is also available in a variety of materials on request.
The fitting is sealed with flat gaskets adapted to your requirements from an extensive range of materials. In addition to the widely used fiber gaskets (e.g. KLINGERSIL® C-4400), PTFE (Garlock GYLON®, Frenzelit novaflon®), NBR, graphite (e.g. Frenzelit novaphit®) and many other branded gaskets are available for special applications.
For dark media, dark or not illuminated vessels, the use of a reflective sight glass according to DIN 7081 or similar is recommended. Due to the refraction of light in the incorporated prisms, the fill level can be better recognized. However, if the container is illuminated, the medium is very clear, or the color of the medium should be visible, a transparent glass should be used. Reflective glass cannot be protected with mica discs, as this prevents reflection.
